Join us for a fun and creative Kids Craft Class! This activity will be led by Making Memories with Mary, Mike and Maddy—a family-run craft business in the Chittenango community. They specialize in custom craft kits, on-site craft activities for events, and creative, engaging activities for children and families.

This hands-on workshop gives kids the chance to make two exciting crafts to take home:

Custom Slime Creations
Kids will explore basic material science as they investigate how different textures and mix‑ins change the properties of slime. Using pre‑made slime as their base, kids will select from a variety of colorful, tactile add‑ins and experiment with how each one affects stretch, resistance, and appearance. After creating their personalized slime sample, students will package it in a take‑home container and design a decorative label using stickers and markers to document their “slime formula.”

Lightswords or Fairy Wands
Kids will explore how light travels and how simple materials can change the way it looks. Using keychain flashlights, bubble‑tea straws, and colorful tape, they’ll build their own glowing lightsword or magical wand. Students can personalize their creation with gems and decorations while experimenting with how different colors and coverings affect brightness and glow.

This class is perfect for kids who love to get creative, explore textures, and make something truly their own.
