Guided Tours

The CLCBM is excited to offer tours of the museum grounds and buildings!

General Guided Tour: General tours of the museum and grounds are offered with our Historian Wednesdays and Thursdays from May 15th through September 30th with the first tour beginning at 10:00am and the second at 11:15am. Each tour lasts approximately an hour and leaves from the Visitor Center. Regular admission fees apply. No registration required.

Old Erie Canal Tour: This tour includes a presentation and hike with our Historian to explore the remains of the Old Erie Canal and aqueduct recently discovered on a 28-acre parcel adjacent to the museum. Available Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from May 15th through September 30th. Presentation and tour begin at 10:00am at the Visitors Center. Maximum of 10 people per tour. Registration required. $20/person. Weather dependent.

PLEASE NOTE: For the Old Erie Canal Tour you must be able to walk two miles over uneven ground. Hiking boots and long pants/sleeves are HIGHLY recommended (you will be walking through vegetation) as are sunscreen and a water bottle.
